I think it’s a fair point that bitcoin is more secure than most crypto currencies today, at the cost of being less willing and able to innovate. Ethereum is more willing to innovate, but the people managing/leading that innovation are a weak point in the network security (compared to bitcoin) which could allow an external actor to apply pressure.
Hyperbole like “shut down” is just internet tough guy talk.
I feel it is a truthful level that bitcoin is safer than most crypto currencies at the moment, at the price of being much less keen and in a position to innovate. Ethereum is extra keen to innovate, however the folks managing/main that innovation are a weak level within the community safety (in comparison with bitcoin) which may enable an exterior actor to use strain.
